should there be 30 processes running at start up?

as soon as I start my pc I get about 30 proceeses running, is this normal?

Go to start, run, type in MSCONFIG, go to startup tab and turn some of the JUNK off. Try www.pcpitstop.com, login its free, will scan your computer and tell you what you can turn off and give you some TWEAK advise. best of all ITS FREE.
