I had a mess about with the editor ages ago and experienced the same problem, though im not sure what percentage it was crashing at. It was happening because when i was saving the map in the editor I was choosing to save every possible part of the map, even things i hadnt actually created or configured in the map. My solution was to 'save all' and use the defaults that it chose for me to save, rather than manually ticking all the boxes and saving everything.

If it is something else causing the problem then i have no idea... try following a tutorial and make a very basic map, then check it works and go from there.

yeah, i know im not doing that stuff, im a very good mapper and have been mapping for too long for me to mess up on something like that. thanks though.
