I currently have no intention of buying the SF expansion, anyone here recommend patching?

PS. I can still play without the 1.12 patch and there are still servers. Installing the patch that added the annoying start up message was a bad idea.

EA wants to make money, when was the last time they cared about customer satsfaction?

Very smart they are at doing this too

- Stat system, so force you to play THEIR game, not mods
- SpcOps weapon included in original game, force people to spend money to compete

so you are forced to play official game, and with you stuck to it they can do w/e they want to it.

I dont have a problem though, SP guns or not, my jet kills them all, but poor Karkand whores.

I am not shelling out another $30 for something I have no interest in myself. The weapons from SF are'nt any better than the normal weapons, just different with the exception of the flash bangs.

I have so far found that the flash grenade is quite annoying. However, being an admin on the server, if someone abuses it to take vehicles from teammates or just throws them around to mess their own guys up, they get booted, problem solved.

It's interesting being a server admin and watching over the gameplay. We have rules on our server about spawn camping, stat-padding and stealing vehicles from the enemy uncaps. These things get you booted. I am always amazed at what some players will do. Tk's and team damage to get weapons or vehicles in my opinion is weak and shows a complete lack of respect for other players on the servers.

Your so wrong, anyone that makes a blank statement like that, obviously your getting your butt beat. Alot of people from other forums other then whining central(totalbf2) bought the expansion, mainly for the reason it is infantry based with fewer vehcles, and more teamworked required. Sounds like those that won't buy it will be the jet whores.

Whats the matter, someone beat you to your precious jet and you actually had to fight on the ground?

Ne'er a truer word spoken. Teamkilling and vehicle hogging are a sad fact of life online. It does reflect on the maturity and reputation of the player that engages in such activities, does it not?

But back to the subject at hand.

I, personally, don't have a problem with the flashbangs. Used correctally, they are both fair and offer a new spin on Battlefield 2 gameplay. Of course there will be those who abuse them. There always is and there always will be. Someone will always find a way to misuse new features or weapons. This, however, doesn't make the new feature or weapon "broken" or "cheap".

Well said warbird, I think it breathes new life in alot of areas, I had a ball using them on tanks especially Karkand. Nothing like your about to get splattered, and throw one and watch the turret spin around aimlessly. Enough time for me and my squad to get out of dodge

The flashbangs bring a nice new element into the game. I don't think it's cool that only SF players get the new weapons, I think everyone should get them. I think flashbangs are a lot of fun.

I don't like that the flash has an adverse effect on tanks. It seems strange to think you can blind someone sitting inside of an armored vehicle, but that's neither here nor there. I also don't like that it hurts your teammates vision, even if they are turned away from the blast.

The only real issues I have ever had with the game lie not in the game itself, but in the people who play it. It's the lack of teamplay and the all for one mentality that hurt the game experience for me. I only play on our clan server though and usually there are enough of my fellow clansmen there to make it interesting and fun.

There are some fantastic players out there and it is a real treat when a few of them get together and wreak havoc. It always renews my fun in the game when I am in one of those matches.

How often do you get flashed by a flashbang? Twice in one round? Three time? How long does it last? 5 seconds?

It a matter of satisfaction, the new best kit has them, everyone will be after that kit. If Ea possibly made it if you bloody turned away, it wouldn't bring you temporary blindes, it would be a better but as unrealistic bf2 is, im not suprised. If your going to encorporate flashbangs, at least do it right.

People claim that f2000 is the best kit for points now. I'd say support is because its the kit, thats going to re-supply those idiots throwing flashbangs all game. My tip ? Go support.
