Is there any way to change the letter of the drive that the patch will extract files to? I just finished freeing up 3GB of space on my C drive by moving a ton of crap over to my D drive (where BF2 is installed) and when I tried to patch it said there is not enough space on C. Apparantly it added some crap that took up 600MB and not I only have 2.4GB free on C and I have nothing I can safely move (congrats to whatever dumbass at EA thought up this system). So is there anyway to get into the patchwork and change the letter from C to D?

Re: Patch 1.12 drive space
Same problem here....
Another thread here as well:Fix for the "3 GB" problem -- kudo's to encBlood for finding this trick.
- Click the start button and click "Execute".
- Typ "regedit" (without the quotes)
- Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
- In the right window doubleclick "ProgramFilesDir".
- The value of "ProgramFilesDir" is probably "c:\Program Files". Change this to a drive with at least of 3 GB of free space. For example, I changed it to "D:\Program Files" (I did create a d:\Program Files folder just to be sure).
- Run the patch.
- After you've patched BF2, make sure to change the value of "ProgramFilesDir" back to "c:\Program Files".
