Re: Who here is using Windows x64?
I don't see any difference between xp64 and xp32
Some claim that XP64 runs better byt IMHO it's because the game came out a couple of week after the OS did so it was always installed on a fresh copy of XP with all the latest drivers.

Re: Who here is using Windows x64?
Runs better with WinXP x64 on AMD because it's optimised for that procesor and not for Intel "so called" :) procesors. There are problems with sound cards that doesent have proper drivers for windows xp x64 but ... problems with Joysticks that doesnt have divers and so on ... drivers are bigest problem with windows xp x64 ... also windows xp x64 better works with large memory sizes ...

Re: Who here is using Windows x64?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a game have to be coded for x64 support for it to actually run the game in x64 mode? If thats the case then it wont make a difference until someone codes BF2 to take advantage of x64. I'd be willing to bet that even though they are running an x64 OS, BF2 is running in 32bit mode.

Re: Who here is using Windows x64?
I have had 3 weeks of trouble free play on my new AMD 64 with Win XP 64 and 2 gig of ram. I reused my very old SB GamerX Live 5.1 (dicontinued & unsupported by Creative) because there is a 64 bit driver for it
and I can play with sound on hardware high now (would crash XP 32 machine) and all vid settings on high. My wife wanted a computer to do her college homework so I gave her my XP 32 comp it plays BF2 decent on med setting but would crash often. So I built me a game rig & I put Win 64 on it for the memory management (Win 64 can handle up to 128Gig ). On my 32 bit machine to play BF2 a fresh reboot was nesissary then another reboot after because windows would chug. Win 64 does'nt slow down I can play without rebooting all the time now.
