    So where are these triggers?

The manual and the pre-release blurb both talk about the 'new trigger system' that allows you to interact with your environment, just as opening/closing gates and doors and things.

I admit I've only played SF a tiny little bit so far, but where are these? Are there many? Which levels? What do they do?

    Let's start a list! :)

Post here if you're found one.

The map from the opening video is retty cool (dont know the name of it) there is a powered gate switch to trigger and even if your going in on foot its nice to have a faster squadmate (medic, sniper) sprint ahead and trip the switch.

Also the carrier on iron gator there is the aircraft elevator on the side. I'm sure i have seen mroe but can't recall them right now

Yeah, there is a switch on Devil's Perch I believe that closes and opens a electric gate.

The Asylum front gate has a switch to the right if you're looking at the gate from the inside.

The USS Essex has a platform you can lower to access the hanger bay from the flight deck.

Those are the only 2 I can remember..but I'm sure there are tons more.

The Nuke Sub level has 3 that I can remember...all in the sub housing they lower and raise bridges.
