Grapple Tipps And Tricks

Heres some grapple tricks
-It can be thrown farther by jumping and throwing
-You can run and jump and grab on to grappel
-if at top of ledge or building, walk up to edge TAP right click and you can throw grappel to team mates, or make a portable Down ladder
-press G to pick up grappel
-Wait a bit to see if any teamates are coming
-double taping E key will often get you on top of the graple too (happens to me almost always) - From alderaic
-Oh, and sometimes you can throw it to another roof, and make the bottom stick to something on the roof your on, if you wouldnt like to hop between buildings..-[Wolf]bbob

and please for the love of god take 2 seconds after you have reached the top of the rope to see if any team mates are using your grapple as well and WAIT to retrieve the rope (or bottom of a zip-line for that matter)

Theres nothing more frustrating then following someone up a grapple line as close as possible only for them immediatly pick-up the kit when they hit the top and you fall to your death or serious injury at least.

There is no way to parachute when this happens as you are to close to watever you are climbing as the rope naturally hugs the walls.

I tend to use the "follow me" radio command a couple of time before climbing or zip-lining to try and encourage people to use the grapples and lines i have deployed. If its a brige down or similar choke point i find it best to simply leave it deployed for people to use untill it disapears after a short time.

Good point Teaves. I just leave the grapple at an important
spot for teammates. It will dissappear after a while, and you
will have you grapple back.

For all you wannabe Tarzans there. If you are on a roof and want to get over the street to another roof just throw the hook on the other side. Then jump after it and you should catch the rope just before you fall on the ground. This doesn't work on huge gaps of course.

Whoa, have to try that, thanks..

EDIT: Oh, and sometimes you can trow it to another roof, and make the bottom stick to something on the roof your on, if you wouldnt like to hop between buildings..

just to shed some light on my previous tip, it works only after some distance, when you are close to the top (but would still need two or three seconds of climbing) and works as an instant up on small buildings (bus stops, one story things in devils perch etc...)

You can also use it to jump frome high buildings. I've thrown it from really high buildings down to a low wall, then jumped down in the direction of the grappel, and holding down E. I would grab it without losing any health, then it'll almost catapult me onto the top edge of the wall on to which I threw the grapple hook.
I discovered this by accident when I pressed E instead of the parachute key

When you hit E on a grappling hook, it will drop you off on the end you are closer to. If you are closer to the ground, you teleport down there. If you are closer to the top, you teleport up there. In rare ocassionans, usually on taller buildings, you will either fall off the line, or teleport to the top of a nearby roof.

Actually if you just leave it there, it dissapears, but you don't get it back, only way to get another is to sit by an ammo crate for 15 seconds, or die.

Also a very good tip i found when you are trying to get down but dont want to jump for fear of your parachute not pulling. right click when you have it out and have it poionted somewhat down at the edge of the wall, and than it will throw it barely but it will throw the rope out first so it sticks to the roof and unravels down the wall. very good tip for getting down from medium heights.
