Yes it sucks but would kinda ruin the affect and would be pointless, they would have given completely new unlocks if they wanted them global. Which is a reason why I dont really like being SAS or SEALS as everyone uses the new guns.

Id rather be Insurgent/Rebel Anti tank with DAO-12, RPG and grapling hook.

Yeah it's called "SAME MOD". Look for it in your browser. Make sure you just have 6 boxes ticked. Any more and the filters don't work. Six is the magic number. Try it.

I think that in BF2:SF the F2000 isnt an unlock; its the standard rifle for the SAS whereas in BF2 its an unlock.

Same thing goes for the other new unlocks.
