If I don't want to play on 1.12 servers against the newer weapons etc. is it possible for me to play on 1.03 servers and still have my games ranked?

Yes.
There are 373 ranked 1.03 servers at the moment.
There were 500 this morning and about 900 yesterday afternoon so I guess your choice will be limited in time.
Just for info, there are still 20 ranked servers running 1.02 which are usually full and 1 server in Italy running version 1.0 :) -

well i have alot of boxes checked (like same version obviously, ranked... and about 6 other boxes) and i checked yesterday at like 2:00 pm and there were about 200 servers that were ranked... so without all the boxes checked thats probably around 900 or so.Comment

I guess I had always assumed that Ranked servers would be forced to use the latest patches?

All my regular 1.03 ranked servers converted
I don't want to go play against those damn SF weapons though.... At least not until I decide if I'm getting SF or not. Oh well, time to find new servers; any suggestions? Servers with WORKING battlecomms hopefully.

the fact is, you will have to install the new patch before long. THe number of older patch servers will be nothing in no time.
and there's nothing different about the new weapons. Just like the original unlocks. Just something different.Comment

Most ranked servers are advised to update to the latest patch.
j0k3rs.wild there hasnt been much of a difference in gameplay with the SF unlocks(thats my opinion anyway) and if you were to play on a 1.12 server you may even be able to try out some of the new weapons to see if you like them, which would probably help you decide on whether or not to get SF.Comment
