pc noob needs help! i can only play with LOW settings!

Hi mates;

I bought bf2 two days ago;

I have

Windows Xp pro 2002
Intel pentium 4 2.40 Ghz
1.00 Gb Ram
Nvidia Fx5200 256 Mb

I can only run the game in LOW settings..,.,I dont know much about Pc´s.,.,is there anyway I can play in HIGH or MEDIUM settings wihout laaging like hell ?? Or shall I upgrade something of my PC?

I read something about shardes.., what they are? maybe is that my problem.,.,

You will need to upgrade. Your video card is the lowest that you can use to play BF2, so that is your main problem. If you can get a better card, that would help tremendousally, next thing would be a new CPU, anything over a P4 3.0 is good. As for the vid card, i would suggest a 6600GT or a x800, to play with med/high settings.

Yep Its your card Buddy... Change it to a Gt6600 or sumthing, its cheap and you will be able to play evrything at Medium and a bit at high.
