Is anyone actually getting smooth gameplay in SF multiplayer?

Judging by all the FPS posts, and my experience with SF, there is a performance hit running either SF or patch 1.12.
My fps went from 80-90 steady to 30-80. Also, my framerates arent nearly as steady as they used to be. I also get a lot of choppiness.

Is there anyone that is getting smooth gameplay in SF?
Also, can you please post your system specs?

Very Smooth, I only lag when my DSL is bugging or its a laggy server, although the game takes some time to load now, its odd..

System:
AMD64 3700+
Asus A8N SLI Premium

just gunna add my two cents

in comparison with vanillia, i find that only get FPS lag with the night maps, which makes sence cuz they put that logic in the game so u can only see x distance and not crack ur brightness up to see real far, (if uve read about this u will know what im on about)

personally i dont like the night maps, sure the FPS lag is annoying, but also the fact u cant see ur enemy and i dont like using teh nightvision, ****ing annoying

so yeah, to sum all, my fps is fine on the SF day maps but the night maps i do get some major fps lag at some stages

Works fine for me, I mostly play on 32 player servers though, haven't tried 64.

I upgraded to the newest Nvidia drivers and I'm doing pretty good. Like the other guy said, it can sometimes take an insane ammount of time to load, even for us people with over 1 gig of RAM.

It's weird because I could play for about 1 hr or so... then the next day when I played - the low fps made it unplayable, and I havent done any changes whatsoever!:hmm:

Very smooth for me unless I'm piloting an attack chopper for some reason.

When i was running SF in 1.1 i got a few lag problems but when i repatched to 1.12 everything has been running smooth since.

System:
AMD FX57
Asus A8N SLI Deluxe
SLi 7800GTX
2GB Corsair ram.

My performance seems identical to BF2, considering its different maps its hard to be 100% but any difference is insignificant.

I run medium settings because i have an old GFX card (ATI 9800) specs are as follows:

AMD64 3200 (venice core)
1 gig of Corsair 3200 platinum RAM
ATI 9800 - 128 meg memory (newest drivers 5.11)

Settings are all medium except terrain which is high, NO AA or AF and 1280X1024X75Hz (because of LCD screen)

No, all of the sudden...don't know if it was the patch but Im getting laggy FPS also, and before I got like 80-90 average

I agree the Night levels are a little laggy. I am assuming it is because of the shadow render is in full effect.

7800GTX...

Modded 81.94 - Lagged lots in BF2 SF
Modded 81.84 - FPS fine, lower FPS on iron gator (bad map imho anyways)
I've installed modded 81.95 to try tonight as other people seem to be having success.
Basically Nvidia drivers 81.85 -> 81.94 seem to have problems from what I've read.

extreme FPS lag for me.......:-(

i kno im running a low end computer but i used to be able to play BF2 just fine but on SF, my gun keeps shifting on the screen as if its thinking i running or something and i keep..............i give up.

I tried running with the same video settings as from before patch and the Iron Gator map lagged like crazy when I was near the carrier for some reason.

I don't think that most people realize that the patch reset all of the video settings arbitrarily (in my opinion) and they haven't tweaked them back yet - hence the drop in FPS. I went in and re-tweaked my video settings and things seem to be working fine now.
