it's not your computer's fault. even gamespot has reported that there is a problem with either the new patch or sf (or maybe even both). they, too, are hoping EA will address this issue immediately.

typical EA, they'll have the problem patched in a few weeks.....but they have your money now.


Let hope the next "patch" does't contain another massvie memory leak and we have to wait another few weeks for the patch of the patch.

I'm using a crap card, and downgraded from 81.94 to 77.30's and still having FPS issues in SF.

A driver change may help, but I believe the FPS issue is mostly related to textures in the maps. Between nighttime, fog/gray skies, and all the extra buildings/internal textures your vid card is getting hammered.

I can't play Iron Gator and try to run around inside, my FPS is killed inside the carrier.

i tryed the 81.89 and they dident help, also tryed the NGO 81.89, they caused BSOD right when i got to my desktop, had to uninstall them via safemode, I also tryed 81.94, they dident help, iam back at the 81.95's, still dident fix the problem but using them since their the latest

FPS dropped, the game reverted to 800x600 resolution, laggy as hell with same settings, now I get freezes, stutters and sputters, never had before.

For some reason i had alot more lag then in regular bf2.. i had to set my graphical settings down to almost ALL LOW settings instead of all medium..
meh, low quality graphics takes away from the gameplay..

i didnt have to check i could be felt, but i didnt fix thing, it worked better but i realized i was running 2xaa, havent had time for 4xaa yet

With SF I had a noticeable fps decrease compared to BF2, especially on 64 player Iron Gator maps. Upgrading from the Nvidia 78.01 to 81.95 drivers smoothed out gameplay and increased fps significantly. Further performance increases were gained by reducing the dynamic lighting from high to low, shadows from medium to low and changing sound from Hardwire/High/EAX on to Software/High/EAX off. SF's much smoother now at 1280x1024@70Hz 2xAA.

Regular BF2 runs without any hiccups. Special Forces is a different story. The daytime maps are running good so far, but when I try to load the night maps, thats another story Im not going to tell because it will involve wayyy too many bad words. :P

don't get it, installed the game, everything max, AA 4x, got 40-65FPS, never dropped below 35 and sometimes peaked to 95 .

then suddenly, 10-20 FPS dropped even to 5FPS , without changing drivers or whatever.

now my FPS is back to normal ,, like in the beginning.

DICE there game is dam bugged !!!!!
