If I fly in a heli my fps drops to 15-20???

Even with my x1800xt Game shutters and drops way to often

It shouldnt be this bad

I guess ill play BF2 for no and enjoy the new guns/flashbang

I cant even play SF, because i have 5 FPS, and i have X800pro. Hope that AT will release good driver and will fix that (if that is driver problem)

PCI-E or AGP? I have an AGP and really have no problems playing it.

For the 81.89's I'd recommend getting the NGO optimized Nvidia driver version.

I am using a 6800GT 256mb, had massive framerate drops after updating - gone with the 81.89's =)

Some say 81.95 drivers fix their fps issue others say it makes it worse....what is it?

And yes...this issue need to be resolved quickly........I cannot play night maps at all!

I had no problems with the 81.94 driver, then I installed 81.95 and still no problems. Some people are just lucky I guess.

I have tried about 10 driver or even more and my fps is still 20-25 if I play in a populated server... If I make a server with no players its 40-50. So here it goes: not the the video-driver that fux things up but the audio driver..... turn your audio to software+low/medium and you will get much better fps...
So now we need to find a good audio driver that WORKS, there is so many on the net but most of them crash at intall......
I have Soudblaster Live 5.1 can anyone help me???

I have 6800GT 256MB too, but that driver didnt help either. What do you mean no fps drops? How much is your average fps?

dont u just hate the FPS drops? goddamit, my FPS turned down to 20-30, even a steady 15 on iron gator!!! EA/Dice should create a new patch this week...

I admit to have turned down some of my video settings slightly to ensure smooth gameplay in every combat situation.
Textures I have set to medium until I get my 2 Gigs of TwinX this week.
Also dynamic lights and shadows are set to medium only because I like the fact that this helps keeping the fps descent even on 64 player servers, and with heavy loads of fighting going on. I run the game at 1280x1024 2xAA.
With no fps drops I simply mean that I don't encounter any screenlag most of the time. I usually have an avg. fps of 70-100 on most maps.

Well...I have tried everything. Upgrading and downgrading to and from various ForceWare driver versions, playing with PCI Latency, updating motherboard chipset drivers, etc...I cannot cure my lag issues while piloting on night maps

Time to start waiting for a patch again

EDIT: Nevermind..I think I found the source of the problem. I turned off EAX and reduced sound quality...my FPS are the same as before, but the game just became as smooth as glass again. /shrug

I'm tellin you that its not the video but the audio driver that makes the game slow, I made an upgrade and now I have +15 fps compared to my previos driver, so get a good driver (I ve installed a chinese-self made fusion driver so cannot tell you how to get it :))
