How do you get the Grapple & Zipline?

I have installed the 1.12 Patch, but do not see these
items in the weapons kits for SpecForces and AntiTank kits?

I read the readme on the patch, so I think I know it's in the game now
but I do not see how to find/use them?

Are these things laying around and you have to find and pick
them up from the map?

NOTE*** I HAVE NOT INSTALLED THE SPECIAL FORCES EXPANSION
PACK. I ONLY INSTALLED THE LATEST PATCH****

BTW.. Anyone else find it incredibly frustrating try to connec to
servers now!! There are 3 different types of server on the list
now! 1.03's - 1.12's - 1.12 Special Forces..

Anyone know any tricks, or something I may have missed in the
filters use in BF2?

Those are for only SF owners and SF maps

Ziplines and Grapple hooks are ONLY included in the expansion.

Thats right...these gadgets can only be used on the SF maps....

There's a handy-dandy "Same Version Only" option in the filters.
Check it.
Done.

yes in filters, click same mod or same version.

Actually Alt-F4 gives you the zipline and grappling hook, it's a secret hack :) lol

oh... actually i thought it only worked in cs, so u could avoid being flashed. didnt know DICE used the same key combination for BF2 weapon cheats.

I have checked that but still get connected to Spec Ops
servers? I do also get 1.03 servers as well. I will check and apply
again. Maybe somethings needs resetting. thanks
