Night vision / Gas masks Problem

OK the game runs perfect for me no problems graphics wise, but I am having a small problem.

My 7 and 8 keys which are default for night vision and gas masks are already binded. So I go to the controls and try and set up night vision and gas masks keys, I musta spent 30 to 40 mins searching and no deal as to where to assign them.

I am pretty sure there is a command in console to assign these 2 commands but wouldn't know where to start to bind such keys or the names of the commands. Any suggestions?

Uhm, just go in the game and bind a different key for weapons 7 & 8 in common controls. I'm not sure why you are having a problem.

I have my nightvision and gas mask bound to the buttons above and below the scroll wheel on my MX510. I use Logigamer and assign these buttons to 7 and 8.

i have 2 side buttons on my logitech mouse that i use for the gasmask and the nightvision goggles. so much easier to use that the 7 and 8 key
