Let us compare it ourselves..
Don't spoil it for us :p just coz we get lost all the time, doesn't mean it's poop lol.
It's an expansion not a full game, just juices things up

Special Forces is ok -- its ALOT faster paced though.
Most of the maps can be viewed as souped-up versions of Karkand / Sharqi. Some of the new night maps are a sniper's dream however ...
I find the biggest problem is getting used to the nightvision and learning how to spot movement in the darkness. Most of the time in Vanilla BF2 I can figure out where I was shot from, but lots of times in SF its hard to pinpoint enemies.
There is alot more teamwork needed to win rounds in SF as opposed to BF. For example you can do alot when you have a Zip Line + Support (Tear Gas) + Assault (Grappling Hook + Flashbangs). Tear Gas + Flash Bangs = dead squads. This also makes defending chaotic as you can be attacked from any direction.
Also some of the new vehicles like the TOW Humvee makes taking down helicopters / Armor easy =)Comment

SF has alont less bugs in it then Vanilla BF2 when it came out. It also Has WAY cooler maps. Plus being able to use SF weapons in vanilla BF2 rocks...for me.Comment
