Setting Light to Low in SF....

Does not have the same affect as in BF2, in that it makes all the really dark areas light.

I think what they've actually done to force this in SF is that they make the game go to Medium for Light even though you might have it set at low. This seems to cause the game to 'optimize shaders' for seemingly no reason. Kinda very annoying.

Did you try the gamma thing ppl do in other games? If so, did DICE succeed in stopping this 'exploit'/whatever?

I did not mess around with it anymore than that. It would seem that the night vision goggles are only available on nighttime maps too, which I think is stupid because alot of the buildings are VERY dark inside. You can't see where you are going without NV goggles. I'm pretty sure I read in an interview about them doing something to thwart people from setting the lighting to low. I did it just because I can't see a damn thing in a lot of areas and there is no way in-game to get better vision (like NV goggles), but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

I did notice one thing. If you create a local server, the light setting on low does work. Just not online.
