Yeah it does say that, but it also has MEC and US forces on Burning Mesa, if it's another expansion shouldn't there be new armies? For all we know this could be a patch. It would make sense for them to make a copy of the base game and rename it xpack2 so it doesn't come up ingame when you query the master server list.
Plus as has already been said, he might know something we don't.
I don't see how this proves that another expansion is on the way any more than it proves that they're testing a map, which is incredibly likely given the fact that, a) Dice provided many maps for BF1942 and BFV and b) Dice just announced that another patch is in the works. I think it's far more likely that they're simply testing a map for the next patch.
As for the xpack2 argument, that is strange, but I really doubt they're working on the next Expansion Pack already when Dice just admitted they're hard at work on a patch...
If their development team is anything like ours then they are working on the next Expansion pack and the patch and tabling ideas for the following expansion pack and looking at a updating the core engine, etc...
i really would like it fi they took maps that the comminty makes and pick some damn good ones and let us d/l them to play on rank servers
Yes this would be great, their are some dam fine community maps out there. But how to pick some with out ****ing off community members that built the ones that get left out. A contest perhaps? Can't please everyone, but this would be great. And very, very easy for DICE or EA to carry out. They just have to put their stamp of approval on them.
Only hitch is if a mod they produce in the future requires a modification to all maps. Are they then bound to fix the community maps they gave their stamp of approval on and allowed to be placed on ranked servers?
well i dont know if u remember the good old bf1942 days when they gave us amazing patches with new maps and new vehicles, maybe they are listening to the people in the forums and how everyone loved the patching system in 1942 with all the goodies , i hope i'm not wrong...
