Crashing and freezing in special froces :(

First, I know I'm supposed to post my Dxdiag but it says the file is too big to attach, so please ask me anything you want to know. Recently I was having a lot of graphics problems, freezing, and crashing (I had this in BF2 but it's been 10 times more excessive since I got special forces). I tried defragmenting my hard drive and this MAY have stopped the graphics problems, however, I am still crashing quite frequently when playing SF, and about once every hour my screen will freeze for 5 seconds, turn black, and then return me to the game. Not a huge problem but it could easily allow someone to get a free kill of me. My PC is very new (just over 2 months old), and the odds of it not being able to handle this game is like the odds of getting struck by lightening. I did try turning off my firewall and virus scan but this didn't help.

Please, for all that is sacred, HELP!

Specs? Cant help when you dont post 'em. Did you have it built by someone else?

I'd really rather you ask specific questions. For some reason, I think what I copied for Dxdiag was a lot longer than it should be, but I don't know what I do or don't need. Also, I seem to get these problems more on some maps than others. For example, on Night Flight these are at their worst, on Warlord, they barley exist at all.

I have the exact same problem as you, I find the game runs best right after a restart and then gets progressively worse as time goes on. I think the blacking out is due to the video card overheating. I stopped overclocking my card and the black outs went away but the crashing to desktop with no errors still exists. After a restart I can play with no crashes for an average of 2 hrs.

1Gig PC3200
evga geForce 6600gt (not overclocked)

I really want to fix this it's driving me nuts.

i was getting this error also but i don't anymore i turned terrain setting to medium and i have no problems at all not sure why. But a reeboot does help alot.

Thanks guys, but I recently made the discovery that this only happens on night maps. Still, I'll try the terrian thing.
