In anticipation of the upcoming expansion pack, Battlefield 2 Special Forces, DICE has revealed the new unlocks for the game

This can be interpreted in different ways...

I (we all do) need someone.. BF2 player (not SF) to earn his/her next unlock and see if he/she can unlock a SF weapon (with the 1.12 patch offcourse)

im 4000 away so I wont be able to tell for another... erhm.. long time :laugh:

And I dont want to hear crap from SF'ers "Offcourse you cant..bla bla, quit whining and buy the bla bla bla"..

And I dont want to hear how ppl interpret these lines..

And I dont want to hear what you THINK or have heard someone say somewhere..

Just need 1 freaking BF2 player to see if he have the option to unlock a SF gun or a link to official EA something specifying the crap

Right.. Now i've spend 15 min going thru 13 pages of posts in the SF section going back to 3 days ago...

and they ALL have SF players talking about unlocks...

How about you find me a link to a post with a 1.12 BF2 player saying he just earned an unlock and Could/Could-not get a BF2:SF unlock.

I got 4 unlocks in SF for use in BF2. All you have to do is go play SF for a few minutes and then exit the server. You'll have unlocks to pick for BF2 from inside SF. You will NOT get the unlocks if you DON'T have SF.

I appreciate your time to reply, but you misunderstand...

There is some (alot) who thinks that the frase in my initial post means that they too can use SF unlocks even though they dont have the expansion... As much as im sure that is not the case, I doo agree with them that the frase can be understood in more ways than one..

SO... the only way to get it out of the way is to have a BF2 player (1.12 and NOT SF), earn his next unlock in the game (1.12 NOT SF).. and tell us wheater or not he have the options of choosing a SF unlock..

nope. that wont happen. you HAVE to have the expansion to recieve an unlock SF gun. and btw - they are sweet, I don't care what anyone says, I hate support but man, that MG36 owns!

Once again...what would be the point of having an expansion pack if you all you needed was a patch to get them for vanilla? Why isn't anyone asking if you can play the new maps with the new patch and not the Xpac? Same rationale.

You need to BUY bf2:SF before you can Spawn with SF weapons in vanilla BF2...

But If you dont :

-- ARE a BF2 1.12 player who just have earned a unlock and can say its not so. (or is so)
--Have a link to the above mentioned.
--Or have a link to an EA message clarifying.

In order to get any SF unlock, first off you have to have SF installed.

Next is you have to have that particular BF2 weapon unlocked [Ex. You cannot unlock G36e without L85A1, F2000 without G3, SCAR-L without G36c]. I know this because I had never unlocked the JackHammer before SF, yet I used one of my SF-allowed unlocks on picking up the JackHammer. As soon as I did that, I was allowed to choose the new SF Engineer weapon.

For example, when you go into BFHQ, can you even see the stats / awards from Special Forces?

If you really want proof, answer this:

Do you have the G3 unlocked? This weapon kit will only come with Smoke Grenades until you have acquired the F2000 unlock. If you do get the F2000 unlock you will be able to use the G3 kit with hand grenades & flash bangs.

Yes... again I cant use it for anything... its your interpretation and your a SF user...

Anyhoo... its proven like this now..

go in a 1.12 server with all weapons unlocked, as a 1.12 user you wont have the SF weapons availeble, as a SF user you will have all BF2 + SF unlocks availeble... (I figured it allready, but needed proof )

Go to an internet cafe that has SF and log into the game using your nick and password from BF2. Play a round, and then go into BFHQ and choose whatever SF unlocks you want.

When you get home and load BF2 on your computer, you'll still have your SF unlocks to use in Vanilla BF2.
