SF, is it worth it?

I really want to get SF and probably will for Christmas but I want to know from guys who have it, is it worth it? I have seen screenshots, short vids and it looks great, i've seen the new weapons the zip line/flashbangs etc. So here are my questions, is it worth it, is it better than bf2, what is better/worse and are the guns unlocks or defaults. If they're defaults are there unlocks?

A good reason to buy SF is for the unlocks you can use in the vanilla. I've been using flashbangs on such maps as Mashtuur and its left other players confused and incapable of doing much! heh

I actually enjoy playing this game. THe grapple hook works great. I am finding new building every time and am experimenting fiinding good spots. The new helis are bad a$$. Most of the maps are good. The Night Vision is cool at first, but it gets on your nerves after awhile. At least thats MO. The new guns are also pretty cool. Overall I would give the expansion a 9.0 out of 10.

The Game is fun and the unlocks are quite enertaining.
Love the fact that there are no planes.
I like that you can acctually go into buildings and almost every roof has a possablilty for a sniper to get on it. Would love to play a map of karkand with the sf equipment.

Having to reload the game if you decide to play a bf2 server is a pain and SF tends to be alot more choppy.

Browser still is absolutly worthless.

ONE OF MY BIGGEST complaints is that The russian team did not get any new weapons just the same old stuff. That was really disappointing.

Maps are nice and so are alot of the vehicals.

I belive that in the end you will get alot of the same stuff even better with these mods comming out than the quality of sf.

I bought it becasue most of my buddies got it.

It's a good fun addition to BF2. But planewhores are out of luck.

I think it's a great expansion. Lots of urban maps, the new toys are cool, and I like nightvision a lot.

30usd? lol here in taiwan it only costs around 20 usd, and the EA download/purchas website said its not availible in taiwan, my ass!

As to the question "is it worth it?" IMO i would say sure, I dont think you will be dissapointed, unless u have some unreal expectations, overall good fun!!

It basically comes down to how do you feel unlocks are worth...I find the maps lacking. Night maps are lame becasue night vission is shadey....and the rest are just death macth maps. I found myself just playing enough to get the unlocks to go back to the vanilla maps.

I'd say no, its not worth it. Wait for free mods, they are better. Especially since all the new weapons and gizmos are part of normal BF2, meaning they can be used in a BF2 mod w/o any copyright violations im pretty sure.

i play bf2 occasionally. i tend to get very frustrated with it quickly. i only like playing the city maps. i'm not very good at it either.

would SF make the game better for me? would i like BF2 more with SF?

i'm really not sure whether i should buy it or not.

Well, I love the idea of SF guns in Vanilla bf2 except when they're used against me. Also, you can pick up kits with SF weapons correct? Are the SF kit bags different or the same as normal kits?
