I can't say EA mislead us or anything, and I think they did a better job with balance this time around, but there are some minor gripes about the vehicles which I want to get off my chest. Yeah, I know, it's infantry focused, but if you're gonna put 10 new vehicles in the game, you might aswell justify their presence. Most of them either seem cloned, inbred, or just misplaced.
First off, the technicals are EXACTLY like the buggies except that they look different. At first I thought they added them for the insurgent groups (since they would have less access to real military equipment) but all factions seem to use these. Instead, why not give buggies to the military forces (SEALS, SAS, SPETZ, and MEC) and technicals to the rebel groups (Middle Eastern and Russian insurgents)?
Second, what's with the new Russian vehicle? It has the armor of and storage of an APC, but weapons of a tank. Instead of combining two already existing vehicles, why not make something new and exciting?
The forklift is basically the same as the ATV, except it makes this horrible noise when you drive it (realistic perhaps, but still disturbing in a "horror movie" kind of way). I was kind of hoping to be able to operate the fork part too.
