    Want to buy SF but...

Hi you guys. This is my first thread.
Ok, here is the deal. I love BF2. I play mainly on urban maps, and no matter what map I play on, I play on servers with no more than 32 players max, since 64 players lag the crap out of my pc. I have 1gig of ram, and my graphic card is the 7800GT. I really love BF2, and I want to buy the expansion, but I'm scared to do so. I have heard that SF has a lot of technical issues. I'm sure you all know what issues I'm talking about.
    I have a few questions.

How will SF run compared to BF2?

How much time should I expect to spend on installing SF, before I actually get to play it?

In your honest opinion, am I better off wating for the bugs to be fixed before I purchase it?

Is it a well-balanced game, meaning that there is no over use of a single weapon?

Please feel free to let me know of anything else that I may have forgot to ask or should know about, and your own opinion of the expansion.

Well as a long time user I am glad to welcome you to the forums.

SF runs alittle more intense then BF2 does but your settings work just fine for it.

It will take you about 30 minutes of installing+patching together before you get to play. It can vary from 10minutes to 30 minutes.

Nah man get into the game. New badges all new junk to play with get use to the game. There aren't to many bugs if any really.

Hmm There are a couple levels such as Devil's Perch that the US Navy Seals Scar H and L are used way to much but other than for that not really.

Just think. Ziplines, grappling hooks, teargas, and of course... APACHE!!!!

        Welcome!!

How will SF run compared to BF2?

I see almost no difference. But I run my settings a little low to get super fast FPS during online play. You dont need shadows :)

How much time should I expect to spend on installing SF, before I actually get to play it?

Like TAW_DaSniper said, anywhere from 10-15 min. People have been posting that they are having issues with it. Not me, I was done in 10 min.

In your honest opinion, am I better off waiting for the bugs to be fixed before I purchase it?

Honestly I have not seen any bugs myself exept for the teammate showing up as enemy. But that happens once in a blue moon. There might be more but Im having too much fun playing to notice.

Is it a well-balanced game, meaning that there is no over use of a single weapon?

I have seen alot of people playing with the new Assualt unlock. But a full auto 30 round clip weapon with a nade launcher is every noobtoober's wet dream. So expect to see it often.

Other than that, I recommend getting it. Its more of that great Battlefield 2 goodness!!

Yeah, we are all a-holes here dude, no kind chit-chat! :p j/k

If you got a substandard graphics card you should expect a drop by about 20-30 FPS which makes it less enjoyable of course. Otherwise - I say you install and patch and spinn around and hop 4 times(normal procedure when installing EA games...) and pop some evildoers!!!

Technical issues? Quit reading gamespot, they and ocampo can't review games worth ****.

Buy the retail version. I was up and running with in 20 minutes(downloaded the 1.12 patch beforehand).

Thanks for the replies you guys. LOL syx how did you know I was refering to gamespot's review?

Anyways, you all seem to think that it was worth it, and I will honor your opinions and recommendations, and go ahead and get the darn thing.

Again, thanks for the replies and the welcomes are much appreciated. I'm sure that there have already been plenty of thread just like this one, so I'll use the search engine first from now on before posting.
