anyone have any ideas on how to fix my graphics , i tried restarting, downloading the patch from soemwhere else and reinstalling and the graphics are crap!

maybe someone trow a super flash bang at you, new feature of SF, this is why you can't see anymore (just joking) .
try a complete reinstall of BF2, then only patch with patch 1.12 .
if this doesn't work, you can always try other videocard drivers -
