Solution to resolve "SF goes to desktop" problem

Version 1.1

Try first:
reinstall the 1.12patch

or

open Windows Explorer to find and delete the directory or rename it:
\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\

if don´t work
try this:

1 - Uninstall SF
2 - Uninstall BF 2
3 - Uninstall any another MOD (you don´t need to delete the profiles)
4 - Uninstall your video driver, and reinstall it again (get the last version of ati´s / nvidia´s card)
5 - Reinstall BF 2
6 - Install patches 1.01 , 1.02 and 1.03 (or just intall the last)
7 - DO NOT INSTALL YET the 1.12 patch
8 - Install SF
9 - Now, u can install patch 1.12
10 - pray

this is actually what I did.. not to solve this desktop issue, but I had
a formatted drive fresh install of windows, and ended up doing exactly
what you done.. however, I still got the desktop between modes..

I think you always get the desktop between modes. You do when switching mods...

Not really erased, u don´t lose any configuration settings saved...
I forgot to say one thing, to remove your video card driver, get the last and install it again...

Try to do it again, now, with your new video driver...
hhmmm tell to us what is your pc configuration, like video card, mobo..

I´ve a friend with the same prob
He said to me that u just need install the patch 1.12 again
try do it
