Which icon does what?

Ok so I installed SF and got a new shiny icon, I double click on it and it starts the game.
Now I have a green spinning 2 instead of a red one, cool, I like green better.
I join a server and it flashes back to the desktop and starts up BF2 again with the red spinning 2.
So what's the point of the new one?

And all my original saved demos are still marked red and won't run.
Anyway around that?

BF2 Vanilla servers are with a red 2 and sf servers are with a green 2. If you click a red 2, you will exit the game and reenter in reg bf2.

The new weapons are in BF2, just cycle thru your unlocked weapons.

Cool, I thought it was just me, freaked me out when it 'crashed' to desktop and then restarted the game.

unlike just about every other game out there, EA doesnt know how to
properly integrate its expansion packs to its original release. Instead
of taking the time to do it right, they just make 2 separate games that
are linked from one to the other, causing that hop to desktop and back,
which if you think about it, is just stupid as hell, because this just makes
the user load stuff that he just loaded before...

Take a look at unreal tournament 2004 to see how things are done right..

When they release a expansion, it is actually integrated fully to the
original release and you end up with the same familiar menu, with a
couple new options for the expansion, no going in and out of desktop,
loading and reloading same stuff over and over..

I know their other titles did the same thing, BF42 and its expansions..
and yes, I thought that was horrible too.. but maybe Im just picky,
I expect multi million dollar software companies with teams and teams
of software engineers to actually know what they are doing..
