I love the G36E its the best rifle in the game IMO but the the best SMG is the MP7, am I the only one who sees the awesomeness of this gun?? LoL only 20 bullets but very accurate.
they made the M16/M4 have the same accuracy even though the M4 is much shorter in length... and the only difference between the two is the M4 has less damage, but it uses the same rifle shell and reciever!
Barrel length has an influence on the speed of bullet and that means that shorter barell > slower bullet > less damage. But I agree that accuracy should have been reduced also because shorter barell decreases accuracy. Also that would mean that L85 (SA80) should be very very accurate because it has a very long barrel due to it's bullpup design. That is the main reason for armies to introduce bullpup weapons like L85, Steyr AUG or Tavor.
I'm an HK addict:
HK P7m8 (GOD I love that gun)
HK USP Compact .45acp (with extended, threaded barrel soon to host an SWR HEMSII Suppressor)
HK SL8 with the US made G36k clone package.
HK MP5k clone in .45acp (still being built, will share suppressor with True HK Compact and be registered as a short barreled rifle)
I'd own more... but my wallet forbids it.
oh man im enviously dreaming about owning just ONE gun for private use!
you probably know that arms law is way diferent in germany than the US.
nothing allowed over here, espacily military arms!
yea i handeld the PDW(MP7) and its just perfect for what its made.
by the way its now the standard weapon for vehicle personel in the
german military, well the first few divisions already have it and the rest is about to get it as soon as there is cash
my personel favorit is the the G36 series, and i couldnt even tell you wich
one! cause they are ALL so great!!
SQUiB_2154 said something about M16 beeing better... well then read the following from my beloved friends over at HKPRO:
The G36 is a reliable rifle, much more so than the M16 series. Though hard core M16 and AR-15 aficionados will have a difficult time accepting what they might describe derisively as 'Euro-Trash,' there is no denying the fact that the G36 rarely, if ever, jams. The most desirable departure from the M16 design is the fact that the gas used to operate the action is vented in the forearm, and not blown back into the action like the 'exhaust pipe' of the M16 gas tube. The G36 jams so rarely that HK has said that they have a G36K that has been fired more than 25,000 rounds without cleaning and no failures. I defy an M16 to duplicate that.
Ok, clear things up. THe G36E is the official export version of the vanilla G36. It lacks the dual scope of the G36 (G36 has a red dot on top of a 3.5x zoom scope, pure ownage), but still has a 3x zoom scope in RL. The G36C is actually the "compact" version, they had to change from "commando" since in the US, they already have their mini M16 named the Colt Commando. The G36K is basically a G36, but smaller. THe G36C lacks any scope/sight at all and has picatinny rails to mount a scope/sight, if there is no scope/sight, u must use the iron sights. THe MG36 is a G36 with a longer, heavier barrel. It holds a Beta-C (dual drum) magazine with 100 bullets. Not very much is known about it in real life. Anyways, on to MY opinions of the guns in game. THe G36C is just amazing, it only lacks power, it is deadly accurate, and it has amazing recoil. THe G36E is imo a M16 on steroids, better or equal to the M16 in all ways except the prone benefit, i never use the M16 anymore when medic. The G36K is awesome, the EXACT same as the G36C except better damage (28 vs. 25), and worse prone benefit (like the G36E). Now, on to my favorite in game, teh MG36, it has the rate of fire of the RPK, but it only does 30 damage (opposed to the RPK's 25). It makes up for this in the fact that it's min. deviation is better than all the other LMGs. It is my personal favorite guns out of ALL guns in BF2.

THAT says it all
And yeah, i agree with last statement, the G36 is a clearly superior rifle. It's like 30 years newer anyways. Anyways, M16 fanboys, this is ur new fav rifle: http://world.guns.ru/assault/as46-e.htm
It looks just like an M16. It has the better roller delayed blowback system (opposed to Stoner's direct gas system). It also mounts a superior grenade launcher, the HK79, of which can fire more kinds of grenades. For more info on the G41, here: http://www.hkpro.com/g41.htm
It's so sad that the G41 was cancelled (along with the G11) in favor of the G36. Oh well, the G36 series is AWESOME.
i was only talking about the "real" guns.
but i like them in B2 too!
and yes the G11 project was nice..like beeing able to penetrate
a "bullet proof" helmet at 2000 meters!
but that was the raeson for it beeing caned!
cause the geneva convention FORBITS these kinds of velocitys!!
we would have gone on with it!!!
I have fired and maintainted/gunsmithed real guns in both the Stoner and G36 operating systems and there is no comparison in my book. Here's a short look.
Stoner Op Sys (M-16/M4/etc):
*Gas tube operated, delayed locking lug bolt system (blows fouling into action)
*Traditionally rifled barrel in various lengths (decent, but seldom sub-moa unless a custom job)
*Hollow-tube for uncaptured recoil spring (tends to bind and gum up with fouling, oil, mud, whatever causing FTE/FTF malfunctions)
*Cylindrical bolt carrier (gets gummed up easily with fouling, etc)
G36 Op Sys (G36 variants, SL8, MP7)
*Gas piston driven, delayed locking lug bolt system (Fouling vents at the gas block while piston moves the bolt carrier keeping the action clean)
*Polygonally rifled barrel (super accurate, consistent bore pressure shot to shot)
*Captured Recoil rod/spring (no binding, period)
*Rectangular block bolt carrier that rides on rails (somewhat loose tolerance for easy operation even if dirty)
I could get into the ergonomic differences, weight, ease of modding, etc. but the above should say it all. The G36 operating system is far more reliable and accurate than the AR-15. It only took my first shot out of my SL8 to make me pause and think "My God... why did I ever waste money on an AR-15?" Dead on accurate with NO muzzle jump (and the SL8 only had a target crown while my AR-15 had a muzzlebreak). It cycled smooth as silk, unlike the jerk an AR-15 gives you, and I had sights on target the whole time...
Buy HK while you can guys, especially their long guns, they're worth it!
OH, and I'm known as Selectedmarksman over at HKPro :o)

Nice, now we officially can say that the M16 is inferior to the G36, although i said so before, M16 fanboys still stick by their M16s. BUt then again, u can never really sway a REAL fanboy.

I never said the M16 was better. I said it wasn't much worse and I was talking about the game. I know the G36E is better in game (and in real life) I was just disagreeing with the people that think it is some kind of huge improvement.
PS I went back and read my original post again and I realise it wasn't very clear so so don't feel like I'm attacking you or anything.

It's not huge really. It is just a bit better than the M16.
