for all those with 20,000+ points....new account 4 sf?

well the title says it all. I haven't got my copy of SF yet because for some reason Australia gets everything 1-2 weeks before the rest of the world. Their probably even playing it in small african villagers, and i'm sure Iceland has theirs released...but anyway... So. I just got my 20000 points, and all my basic badges a couple off weeks ago and i've got all my BF2 unlocks save 1. If I understand this right, i'll have to get another 30,000 to get my first SF unlock. What will all you BF2 veterans do? new account 4 new unlocks?

well i have about 20,000 and my rank was the same, and i got 4 unlocks when i started playing bift spec ops

You can only unlock an SF weapon for a previously unlocked weapon in Regular BF2. I had 6 regular BF2 weapons unlocked, however only 4 of those 6 had 'upgrades' in Special Forces, so I only got 4 unlocks to use in Special Forces [however those unlocks can be used on Regular BF2 weapons].

uh ha....so DAMANEXOR you could unlock new SF weapons? because you're next BF2 unlock is quite a few points away...

Thats not entirely true, I think the number of unlocks you get it just based on your points, not what unlocks you previously picked. I had Spec Ops, Assault, Support, Engineer, and Medic unlocks before I bought SF and I only got 3 unlocks, even though all 5 of those classes have the second tier unlocks.

When you buy SF and log into a ranked server, all your points and unlocks from regular BF carry over. Special Forces gives you new unlocks based on your points and previous unlocks. This means you can choose to unlock old weapons from BF and/or new weapons from SF. However you cannot unlock a new SF weapon [for example. Scar-L] if you have not unlocked the upgrade from regular BF2 [ie. G36c].

When you go back to play BF2 though, ALL these unlocked weapons become available for regular BF2 maps. The only items that don't carry over are Gas Masks, Nightvision, Grappling Hooks, Zip Lines & Tear Gas.

If you want proof, look at my stats sig and try to explain how I have 7 of the regular BF2 weapons unlocked with only 26000 points [50,000 is needed for all unlocks in BF2].
