Flash bangs are a very useful tool in disabling enemy defensive positions

not when your teammates toss is it at you for a helo

When in an enemy base, wear a gas mask. Especially on night maps, people like to toss gas into bases that are being taken.

Do the same thing when inside the Iron Gator, the gas goes through the walls.

on grapling hooks, sometime (quite often) double tapping the E key will get you straight on top

Use organized squads.
In SF they have even more power than in vanilla. A squad of one spec ops, assault, medic and support can get to any place in the map very fast and if they know how to use gas and flashbangs correctly they can even take any flag very easily.
First support shoots few gas nades and assault throws a flashbang and medic or spec ops throws a normal grenade. If there were any enemies they are now wounded, buzzed and blind so it's a piece of cake to clean the flag and take it.

They can even take out tanks easily. Assault throws flashbang and support shoots gas. Then the spec ops goes and plants c4.

use ur grapleing hook to get on top of a telephone poll in a dark area and they wont even look up there

question bout zipline, can u kill someone with it? either shooting them or landing on them?

I don't know about landing on them, but you can't kill anyone by shooting it.

Things that I found to be useful in BF2SF:

1- learn the maps in single player mode - you can take your time and find all the neat spots and backdoors to all the different spawn points.
2- At night, you can spot snipers (and other enemys for that matter) using thier gun flash - call the position out and shoot back - Night time snipers are good, but can be found easier if you can see the flash.
3- when attacking from a boat, dont shoot the damm gun! You loose the surprise element. Also instead of landing the boat ON the flag, land the boat near-by the flag (like 80m) and run to it from a different direction than what the enemy troops are leaving.
4- Mix your squads up - the assault gets the hook and the entire team can use it once its placed. but more so, the SF guys (and snipers..) get the wire, and the team can cross building tops with it once placed. Also The Squad leader can stay put and keep spawning his squad on top of a position while the squad continousely assaults a lower position if needed.

No, Tear Gas suppresses the infantry from doing anything. I've only seen Tear Gas work on Humvees.

Get the assault to flash the tank, then the Spec Ops / Engineer to use C4/mines.

Dynamic lighting is very important in night maps. If you have it set low you will have trouble seeing muzzle flash in the dark (and catching those pesky snipers). Change the setting in your Video settings to medium or high.


I've mapped night vision to my mouse scroll wheel click - works very nicely. Now what do I map my dang gas mask too?

night vision is also binded to a mouse button with me, mouse number 5 for fast switching.

tip about double E on graple is good because those things suck.

I wunder what dope those guys eat, that hook looks like a massive thing that is very heavy, and the dam player just trows is three storages high, the guy must be like superman or something

well i just found out that throwing the grappling hook to kill someone doesnt quite work....
