C4 switch...loss of hair

alright im gonna rip my hair out tryin to fix this. i need help, its somthin other than "lag" as ive seen posted once before...it must be fixed. can somone help elaborate on what the problem may be and how to fix it or if its yet another major "bug" that ea/dice dicided not to fix..again.

my appologies over my tone, im literally losen sleep lol. driven me up the wall, i didnt have a problem with this from what i remember before.

Just throw and switch fast it'll look like you've thrown another one but instead it'll just detonate the first and cancel out the 2nd one.

If you mean that you throw a C4, then switch to detonate it but instead it switches back to C4. You need a better graphics card.
I have a 128 meg video card and it does that. I had put in a 256 card and it stoped messing up on me.

my appologies, i assumed wrong.
first off is switching from c4 to trigger. when tossing or laying c4 then switching to blow it takes more than 3 seconds. i recall having no probs with this in ealier versions. i tryed it on several differnt servers to figure out what was goin on. all the same, when i go to switch to trigger and blow it im already run over or shot. the major problem im having is when i make sure that i only click the mouse once the c4/trigger gos back to the c4 or trigger once or twice before i can press it again and know which one its going to go to. where i can understand why people might say its caused by lag but ive tryed this in servers where my ping is in the 20's-30's and i dont think thats it. but again my appologies, i assumed the topic had come up before and i couldnt find it. many of my friends and others ive played with share the same stress.

I play SpecOps all of the time and have never had this problem.

I have a 256 MB graphics card and this happens to me...

I too have 256 MB card and it happens to me non-stop. I can't count how many times I've gotten shot without blowing the c4 or have had to blow myself up b/c of this bug.

This was also an issue in bf1942 when you tried to chuck an expack down and it would not switch to the detonator properly...trick was to have only 1 left if you intended to chuck it and detonate as quick as possible. This way it reverts to the detonator automatically as soon as you use your last explosive.

It always happened m8, you just probably were never in a situation where the conditions for the bug to occur were present, or if you were you just didn't notice. My guess is that it has nothing to do with how good your computer is, i've seen people with high end machines with the same problem.

The buggy explosive/detonator switching has been a problem thats been around since battlefield 1942 and that they still haven't fully managed to solve, it's a bit better in bf2, but it's still there.

Its not a graphics problem, its a well known game bug...

Sorry, but it doesn't always happen. You name it, I've been in that situation with C4 and I've never had any problems - toss, right click, left click, BOOM -- it doesn't get much simpler than that.
