For all of you who had to use the 7.2 or earlier versions of the patch because the latest Nvidia Driver didn't work ( No Video, Freezes/Crashes Computer, Slow Video etc.) HERE'S THE ANSWER! (And it doesn't require you to reduce your video settings!)
The problem is your AGP Drivers! Find out what brand your mother board is and update the AGP drivers! I don't know the different names that they go by but this is where the problem is. Nvidia couldn't even figure this out.
For the longest time, I could either have the newest drivers but no video, or have the older drivers and the annoying popup saying You need to update your drivers screen.
I have a NVidia GEFORCE 6600 and I did all the changes everyone posted but those weren't the answers. When I went to some website, they mentioned the AGP drivers and all of them reported success after updating them.
All I ask is when you do update your AGP and FINALLY get your system to work PLEASE post back here and let us know that it works. I'm happy to say it works and if it helps you, great!
