1.12 needs more system resources?

i just loaded up 1.12 and after playing 10 minutes, i checked my fps and realized it was dipping at around 20fps. Normally i would get 30-40 fps.
Also i noticed some red barrels in strike at karkland which were meant for the "destuctable enviroment" thing from early trailers of the game and i havent noticed that b4, so i plant a c4 on one of the barrels and sure enough, thehy go flying...so is the new patch including stuff like that in maps now?

The barrels exploded from the first version of the game when it came out. And about the FPS, I think I get a smoother frame rate now than before.
