CD Key not valid?

I've been following the various topics on the new expansion pack. I just installed mine today and updated to the 1.12 patch tonight. I had disc 1 of the Expansion pack in my drive and double clicked the BF2 Special Forces icon on my desktop.

Logged in and found a server I wanted to play in. I end up getting a message that says "CD Key is not valid, click (EA Website) to purchase a valid CD Key."

HELLO, I bought the expansion pack at EB Games this afternoon and double checked the key I entered with the one printed on the manual.

So I put in the original BF2 disc and clicked the original BF2 icon. No problem logging in, but when I go to play in a server, I get the crash to desktop, screen goes blank and about 2 minutes later, screen lights up again and game is loading.

Seemed to play fine though.....

Whic is BS, i have installed it 4 times now and i get that msg, I also got mine from ebgames

I havnt seen a fix yet, if you find one let me know

I have bf number 1 disk in the drive , but I downloaded the expan.

I hope this doesn't happen to me because I'm downloading the patch now with BF2:SF Disk 1 in the drive.

I would guess that someone else (illegally) downloaded BF2:SF and got to the CD Key before you did.

But if that were the problem it should say "CD Key is already in use". I dunno.

I downloaded the expansion and tried to install it but got this message
"BF2CDKeyCheck.exe has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

EA came out with a fix and emailed me a new Key to enter into the fix that they gave me. Now I am having the same problem you guys are when I try to join an online game.....

"CD Key is not valid, click (EA Website) to purchase a valid CD Key."

I am ****ed at the moment to say the least!
