Ok, I still havent got this expansion pack, but I believe you have to select which awards you want to look at in BFHQ, either vanilla BF2 og BF2:SF. Saw that on a screenshot a few days ago.

Go to the top of your awards ppage in BFHQ, then, where it says Battlefield 2 with 2 arrows around it, click the arrow and it will take you to the SF awards page.

They are stats generated for unranked servers where the clan can make up their own medals/badges.....
The awards are actually real, a lot of people have already posted that they have most of the badges and some ribbons, and if your go to the awards page in BFHQ for the SF awards, there will be sihlouettes (sp?) for awards you don't have, and they fit perfectly with the ones on the page. Although, I think only a few of the awards they displayed are fake.

Badges are easy. I won't say too easy because I like to get them but I got two in a matter of minutes. Not a huge to do since most can claim the same if not more but still... a little easy...

No, everything carries over, rank, weapons, stats, etc...there are new versions of badges, medals and what nots that you earn teh same way you did in BF2, sort of an incentive to continue playing since if you're a 1stSGT+ you'll be eligible for almost or all of the unlocks.
