game crashes to desktop if I try joining a multi player server

well I havent had any problems up untill now, when I try joining a server in special forces or regular bf2 my game crashes to desktop, everything works fine in single play though, any idea?

I've had this problem for a while. Doesn't happen too often but none the less an annoyance.

iam going to uninstall bf2 and install it back on just installing the new patch and not 1.3

OMG, there we go again, the crash to desktop is back!!

whats even more sad is i tryed to go uninstall the game and you cant, if you click the remove button in add or remove programs nothing happens!! time for a better game

Gabe, to uninstall:
Go to Start Menu, Run, and type in regedit. Hit ok
Click File and then choose Export.
Name the file Backup and make sure the Export Range is set to All.
Click Save; you will now be returned to the Registry Editor window.
Click the plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click the plus sign next to Software.
Click the plus sign next to DICE.
Right-click on the Battlefield 2 folder and choose Delete.
Click the plus sign next to Electronic Arts.
Right-click and choose Delete on any Battlefield 2 folders.
Click the plus sign next to Microsoft.
Click the plus sign next to Windows.
Click the plus sign next to CurrentVersion.
Click the plus sign next to Uninstall.
Right-click and choose Delete on the key named {04858915-9F49-4B2A-AED4-DC49A7DE6A7B}.
Close the Registry Editor.
You should now be able to uninstall or reinstall.
Delete the BF2 files and directories.

i've already tyred that, there instructions are wrong, i think they were using the original bf2
