See if anyone out there might be experiencing the same thing:

When I try to get into a game it comes back and tells me to play this type of game I need to buy BF2: Special Forces, which ofcourse I already have. Any body got any ideas?

How did you install??

BF2 -> SF -> 1.12 ??

If you did this: BF2 -> 1.12 -> SF then you need to install 1.12 again.

Maybe the same error you are getting. Telling me my cd key is invalid even though I bought through the downloader. Where do I find my CD Key when I didnt get a CD?

When I try to start a local server, I don't even get an option to start a SF map. Has anyone seen maybe an activation tab? Unless I'm just losing my mind...

I haven't installed the game, but doesn't the installer create an new shortcut on desktop that launches BF2 so SF is activated??

If it is installed and you try to join a SF game from normal BF2, I was under the impression it automatically activated SF.

Yep...either way I'm screwed right now...unless anyone else has anymore ideas?....I guess I'll have to wait for the geniuses at ea to figure it out
