We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.

I paid for the Special Forces expansion last night and spent about three hours troubleshooting the InstallSheild Wizard. It keeps giving me error messages 1607 and 1608. I've looked everywhere online and tried multiple things and I cannot get it to work. I've never had this problem before. Has anyone fixed this or have any suggestions? I want to play the expansion so bad.

Consumer Central is a resource, offered as a courtesy by Revenera, for software users to find solutions to common installation problems.
These are from 2003 so might no apply, but it looks like something is messed up permission wise. Are you using an Administrator account to install with?
If you are try creating a new Admin account, and install from there.
Run a spyware/adware scan, some adware will change your permission and mess your permissions up.
Have you tried deleting the contents of your TEMP folder. Type %TEMP% in run menu to open it.
Thanks for the reply. I have seen those articles and tried everything you and they recommend though points of interest would be that I cannot change those folders off of read only, it automatically sets them back right after I hit apply, and whenever I go into component services to change the DCOM settings when I click on my computer it just closes. Any help with this would be very grateful.

Have you tried installing in safe mode? Not sure the installer works there though.
