Stupid Question coming here

So do we need special forces to play the new maps or are they included in the patch....are bf2 vanilla players able to play in sf servers and them allowed in our servers....im kinda confused. im guessing it same as before except now we have a choice to choose if we want vanilla or sf bf2 if u own it correct.....and if ur in a sf server u can play vanilla bf2 maps Correct?.....i know im confused help Metalman understand haha:laugh:

So i need to download this to play BF2 tell i get my copy of SF and when that happens i have to load it again over the patch from SF game?

Explain this.

I want to install the patch(s)? now to play bf2 but I wont have special forces till next week. It seems completely stupid having to wait till you get the expansion to be able to put in the patches. This makes no sense. What harm will it do if i just install it all again when i get the game.

Ya i see....no i just saw someone on my xfire playing bf2 but it says their on map devils perch and it is a special forces server my bad.....

I still have 13 mins left for the 1.12 patch, but my SF and BF2 CTD after the 1.1 patch. Can't play either now... I hope the 1.12 patch fixes it. Shows splash screen, then right back to desktop, no error message, nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, just click on BF2 insignia for sometime and it will eventually work. A hard reboot of your comp will also work.

downloading patch at 410 kbs, well downloading patch first then buy sf, then install patch sounds like a logical solution

After installing SpecFor and updating to the 1.12 patch, I got a weapon unlock! Is this right? I am not due for promotion for another 400 points so I was suprised. I chose the PKM which I planned on getting when I made Staff Sergeant. Now, unless I am wrong, I cannot choose say the new Medic kit unlock in game unless I choose the Medic upgrade again (I aldeady have the L85A1 unlocked)

I don't think the G3 is worth blowing an unlock on but the new Assault unlock looks good. Do I have to make a choice, or do I have to unlock the G3 first? If this is so, that would mean that even making 2nd Lieutenant won't get you ALL of the unlocks

ok so basically if you have Special Forces, you just install it and then install the 1.12 patch....correct???
