208mb and no fixes for normal bf2.... when fixes for bf2 arrive is the patch be 1gb or something? hahaah for normal bf2 the stats bar is fixed... appart from that i dont see anything i entered a game everything looks and feels the same...

couldn they release a smaller patch for ppl that dont intend to buy SF cause 208 mb for no fixes is kinda stupid. well at least they didn ruin anything for the engineers this time and for me thats alredy a good thing:p

Can i unlock the SF unlocked weapons if i don't have the expansion pack? I don't wanna see people with the expansion running around with SCAR-Ls while we look in awe.

I don't think the SF unlocked weapons work in normal BF2 maps, that would not make sense as It would give an advantage to SF owners or maybe a tactic from EA to get you to buy SF. :)

I am getting SF bought for me on sat so I'll be a SF owner. :)

I think thats part of the Sale's pitch. although its looks a bit unfair. i can see it now a group of BF2 onlnie players getting pounded by some SF group with all the fancy guns.

The guns would have to be unlocked to be fair in BF2 as well

I@m not getting SF, not for any reason like i hate Bf2 but i just dont fancy it and like Bf2 i can get my kicks from it.

i just dont understand why in normal BF2 the unlockable guns from SF appear next to the unlock switch button instead of the normal unlocks, but still we cant use those :\ kinda weird if u ask me

You will be able to use the following weapons from SF in regular BF2 as unlocks :
Scar-L for Spec Ops
G36E for Medic
F2000 (w/ grenade launcher) for Assault
MP7 for Engineer
MG36 for Support

I know, but the thing is, will we be able to unlock them if we don't have SF expansion? ANd outta those unlocks, i'm prob only gonna get the G36E, the MG36, and the SCAR-L, but that means in order to get them all, i'll have to be at a rank of Second Lieutenant (100000 points, i have only like around 6400 points).

Wow this patch helps none of the problems Vanilla BF2 has...its only for people who own BF2:SF, and if you don't plan on buy BF2:SF you SOL cause you still have to download 1.12 to play...how F*cking stupid is EA? This should only be a BF2:SF patch on their own web site...don't make the rest of the communitee that think SF is a POS download this patch to continue playing...

You need to calm....

SF is not a seperate game it is an expanison to BF2 hence all patches to BF2: SF effect BF2...

From what I gather the weapons will be interactive (between BF2: SF and BF2) but Im not to sure about this. However you do need to unlock the orginal kits weapon in order to unlock the SF weapon.... Soooo it is not like a bunch of noobs will be running around with the SF weapons...although this could be a bad thing

It is all rather confusing and I guess only time is going to tell....

hmm intresting, i joined an unranked server that had all the unlocks unlocked but i could not switch to the SF guns, only the normal unlocks. but the gun icons next to the unlock switch button are the ones from SF so i'm pretty damn confused right now :hmm:

OMG if EA allows SF weapons in Vanilla BF2 that will be not only unfair but a jerk move by EA forcing the rest of BF2 Vanilla owners to by BF2:SF just to compete on the same level...if this happens...wow...I guess what im trying to say is that would be a noob ghey @$$ move by EA. For lack of a better statement.
