I just installed it and wow, it's awesome. Although dang, the weapons are WAY too good! I know bots are easy, but I just went 53-3 using no vehicles at all. The guns have tight shot groups so you can actually get headshots and whatnot. Even the MP7 I was able to use real well at long distance.

Anyway, SF was a waste of $29, and I likely won't spend much time playing it. I've tried all the maps, and compared to BF2 (watermark) they totally suck. The night vision stuff is kinda a joke, and I have no fun what-so-ever on those maps.

The performance hit on SF compared to BF2 is higher....and for what? My biggest issue is the maps. They have no flow, and just seem lously .... period.

Yes I am disaapointed and I think Dice is taking two steps backward. Hopefully they didn't ruin their chances for BF3 (I doubt it)

I would rather spend $29. for double the maps double the weapons double the pleasure. Cost is relative, I mean you can go spend $50 for some ****ty Star wars Game of the Year "cough" Battlefront "cough" with nasty choppy stick figure graphics, or you can upgrade the badest ass combat game ever for less. I AM %100 satisfied. It rocks!

You people are too damn political. Who cares what you THINK you "should" have gotten. You didnt! But, If you Fully enjoy BF2 then you should love the upgrade. Cmon Jet skiis kick ass man.

I think they died quicker and seemed easier because there was no ping which is usually the case in single player or lan.

I love special forces. Grappling hooks make assault so awesome now. Those zip-lines are also pretty nifty. The dark maps are really fun. There's so much infantry combat too. There's armor on some maps but the majority is infantry. The new guns are also great.

The only bad thing is that the MEC and all them keep the same MEC weapons as in BF2. But they do get an RPG-7.

Can't wait for some of my clan mates to get it so we can just zip/grapple everywhere and pwn sum n00bz!

I finally got my hands on the expansion and I've trieda few of the maps, both day time and night time maps. Iron Gator is by far one of the most interesting maps out there. Seeing a US carrier being surrounded by choppers while there are infrantry fighting in the interior is definately a new and good concept.

I haven't been able to use the zip lines much because I haven't been in many situations that require it. Although, the grappling hooks have proved to save more time when going up buildings that require much walking to get up to. Nightvision is very interesting, but there is still much in night time maps that are still visible without the nightvision goggles.

Special Forces is definately somewhat presents a different type of gameplay in the various maps that it has. My comp's performance with the game seems not tobe as good as the original's, especially on Iron Gator (in other words, low FPS).

All in all, I thought SF was above average but nothing above the original. Don't get me wrong though, I still have yet to explore more of the game and I definately will be looking much more deeper into the game later into the week.

And, unless EA and Dice invented a time machine i doubt they could have magicly produced months of coding out of their ass and slapped it into BF2.

Or do you mean they should have delayed the game till now? Yeah sure... way to keep the fans happy!

I think we have deffinative proof that morons cant read, they say they arent getting special forces and dont want to ever touch another EA game, this being a forum dedicated to both an EA game and inncedentaly its expansion.

For 30 bucks.... I would say the expansion rocks... You get new weapons, new maps new equipment..... What game can you really get that meets the greatness of BF2??? Please.
It takes a little time getting used too. Night vision is different, some other aspects are different. THATS WHAT MAKES IT GREAT!!!!! Don't be afraid of change boy's.
Everyone before was like "oh the stats wont carry, I'm not bying it" After that was issue was addressed, "oh no badges-no unlocks" that was taken care of..... And so many other things that I won't waste my time saying....

This thread was a pole I voted It's great. Whoever bought it enjoy, whoever didn't enjoy the....... $$30.
