missed out on veteran sniper badge

decided last week that i was actually going to start getting other badges instead of going the special ops guy all the time.

so get everything except the pistol badge.

started a game yesterday, karkland, and get 28 kills as a sniper, and at least 5 with my pistol. so i get my pistol badge. i also got some sort of ribbon aswell, and got promoted to staff seargent. however i never got my veteran sniper badge. says u need 15 kills for this badge and i got 28 kills

now i am really annoyed because i tried for the rest of the nite and got no where. had the worst games of my life after this blistering start!

anyone else miss out on any badges? is this a glitch in the game that you can only earn one badge in a round?

You also need to have played as a sniper for 15 hours. Do you have the time in as a sniper?

HEY MAN THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME IT IS ABOUT OTHERS!

      nah just messing....

erm... think i should have... not too sure. i thought that time played was an either or type situation. i.e. 15 hours playing / or 15 kills with the basic badge

lol, no you must have both, though it shouldn't be too difficult for you when you get past 15hours.

yeah my problem is just playing the other 'types' of character as i always get frustrated when i am not a special ops player. need to have the c4 and the nads and the good gun and be able to run fast and for a long time!

the others just dont cut it when it comes to versatility and ability.

As you play more kits, you will find they each have a certain advantage. I used to play Spec Ops all the time, but now after I got to play support for awhile, it rocks. As you reach the 15 hours for each kit, you begin to have a new appriciation for that kit. Plus you become a more diverse and better all around player.

It is pretty cool to be able to have several kits you are good at. :)

I agree. But all of those little advantages are moot compared to the Spec-Ops classification.

Spec Ops gives you the complete package, only sacrificing the ability to rearm and heal yourself. Yet, the sacrifices seem worthwile when you consider their primary weapon, the laser rifle.

Even with that in mind I still play assault exclusively. Somthing about dropping an M203 on a sniper or spec-op from over 100m that just makes me tingle. Yet, I have to live with knowing that the individual with carbine version of my rifle is more accurate than myself downrange; in a gunfight the odds favor him/her. Well worth it though.

ok for any veteran combat badges, u need 15 hours playing as that specific class, and then 20 kills in a round.

Snipers are the exception, they only need 15 kills.

Except sniper, which is the same but '15 kills' instead of '20 kills' (15 hours first still applies).

+1!! I thought AT was the most rediculous kit due to their slow speed and horrible weapon. But when I had to go from about 30 minutes as AT to 15 hours, along with the DAO-12, I love it now. It's so much fun to shotgun people in the face and toss rockets at their chests. Alot of fun.

True ... you (well I) do tend to go through phases, Sniper (M24 - Sharqi), Spec Ops (G36C -- mmmm), AT, Support (Big guns and infinte ammo), Assault (MEC assault non-unlock kicks ass) and finally medic (AK every time). I have yet to go through my engineer phase.

I did the same thing with that ... got 25 kills as eng on wake, then realised u needed 15 hrs. Quite annoying .... May just go as eng/commander to get my hours up :P
