    Re: RPG-7 RL info

well my experieneces in iraq showed me that the iraqis bought/used whatever is available...which is usually the cheapest weapon they can get their hands on, hell, there were several times i was at an ECP and confiscated AK-47s and RPG-7s from iraqis. The sad thing is they knew they were going to get searched, but still brought the gear through.

RPG-4/7s are easy to get since they were mass-produced on a scale that dwarfed the AK line (Even though the RPG system is reloadable, most of the time, it is only used once like the old LAW of the US Army) They are extremely potent against Light and Medium Armored vehicles (Humvee and the Stryker) but has trouble against Assault vehicles and Main Battle Tanks (M2A3 Bradley/LAV-25 and the M1A2 Abrams)

High Performance AT Weapons, such as the Javelin, Dragoon, SRAW, SMAW, Kornet or TOW-2 are simply too hard to find since most Modern Militarys hold tightly onto weapons that have the ability to disable their best armor.

yeah seems like it for sure. I would have thought armour penetrating rockets to RPG-7s would have come out since it sure would have made a bigger impact than the HEAT/HE ones... another cokup from Iraq I guess

And those AK pictures are interesting... aint the middle one the latest one of those three?(with the muzzle that fights barrel raise?)

Going into the war, I had written the Stryker off as another military procurement debacle. But the more I've been reading about its performance in combat, I've been more and more impressed. And actually, with the addition of the RPG cage, I've read that it's very survivable.
