i dont understand, i havnt gone up a rank

ok, im all excited cause i have 1 more point to go till i get to the rank or sergeant, i was on 2499 in the stats thingy, and then i enter a game, get a kill, and it is still at 2499, so once the round has ended it adds my 30-40+ points and im like ''wtf why hasnt my rank gone up'' so i log out then log back in and nothin, whats going on, help, anyone?

Play another game, youll go up but sometimes it takes some time to happen

yea...doesnt always go up right away. I recall back being promoted to corporal (before the 1.03 patch)...I was promoted 3 times because the points had not caught up yet lol

thanks, its all good, i did just what you said and played a few mins and sure enough, went up to sergeant.

You can't go up a rank until the central BF2 rank server sees the points. That doesn't happen until the server you are playing on sends the points back to the central server. There is usually a delay. Sometimes 5 minutes. Sometimes hours. It is the same for the badges and patches. You haven't met the time requirements until the central server has your reported time being above 15 hours or whatever. This is why things don't always happen exactly when you meet the marks.
