LCD Resolution Overclock!

I know this may be a technical question but i will probably get more response here! ,has anyone here ever tried to Overclock there LCD resolution past say 1280x1024(example of my 19" LCD max resolution)and if so does your monitor die? or how long will it last?.

does BF2 support 1600??if so i may try to hook up my old CRT!

do you actualy know what an LCD screen is ??

maybe you are able to fool the pc and let the vid card send out a 1600 res to your 19inch LCD , but your LCD has only 1240 pixels on one line , so it can never show 1600pixels, wich will resulkt in artifacts on your screen, heavy duty for your vid card while you don't benefit from it, etc...
