How do I track if Friends are playing currently

I'm new to these forums and I've been playing BF2 for about 3 months. I'll join a squad and every now and then I'll have a good time teaming with people that use Voip well. Anyway, what I wanted to know is is there a way that I can track these players sorta like a buddy list within the BF2 application(I don't have luck with xfire). This way If I see that they are on a certain map and server I can try to join that one to play with that player again.

I use this site http://www.game-monitor.com/ Just type the name into the search field for names. If it's a common name it might come up several different times for different games, but since names are unique for BF2 just find the BF2 entry and voila!

bf2tracker.com has a buddylist that will tell you what server people are currently on.

BF2s.com also does it...I'll warn ya though it is slow...as in sometimes they could be done playing but it still shows them playing... your best bet would be Xfire IMO
