3rd Weapon unlock - Suggestions please?!

Hi there,

I'm about to get my Sergeant rank and therefore my third weapon unlock.

I play primarily as Special forces and sniper or Commander - but am looking for an option on those up-close and dirty maps. When it's all about the firepower/close quarter fighting...

Can't decide between the Assault - Support or Anti-tank...

Not really fussed with being a medic or an engineer (though I do of course pack swap should I need to, esp in Commander mode)... But if you can convince me, you never know I may revive you one day!!

Open for any suggestions/advice you can give me about what to unlock...

The G3 is NOT as accurate as some of the stock weapons, the damage per bullet is higher, by.. one point i believe. But you dont have the noob tube, and only 20 rounds in a clip. I regret unlocking this one, i never use it. Its outclassed by its little brother the g36c in every way.

Support.. PKM, its a nice gun, but its usefullness is pretty limited as its range sucks and ROF is rather low. Cant say much more,havent used it in a loooong while.

The DAO12. AWESOME weapon, close up, naturally. But when you get there, you can roll over complete squads without trouble. You have to controll the recoil.. but there is nothing to dislike about this weapon, its a shotgun, and does the job its suppost to do well. You better brush up on your pistoling tho, since it has not much range.

Up close and personal, I'd say you'd do good to get the AT unlock, throw some grenades into the alleys at Kark and run in spraying, get out reload, repeat.

AT has grenades?

Anyway, Nothing beats the DAO in CQB. I was surprised at how powerful it is when I first used it, but is ONLY for extremely close shots.

As for the PKM, it's a man-eater, but stay back a bit. Listen not to those who scream about it's inaccuracy. They simply have'nt the patience to learn the correct way of using it. I regularly take out snipers with the PKM, get's easier the more you do it, obviously.

It's his third unlock. I'd guess his first was the one he plays the most. Besides, the more you play, the less you feel obilgated to one particular class, and instead pick whatever class the situation calls for, or better yet whatever class your SL told you to.

If you're looking for up close / infantry type of unlock, I'd suggest the AT or Support weapon. The G3 is only weapon I've not unlocked, and once I do I doubt I'll be using it much -- the AK + the GP30 pwns when I go infantry only.

The DAO-12 is very good in those situations as well, and besides Assault, I'd say AT is prolly kit #2 for me. There are times when you have to switch to it, to deal with armor. PKM is also a great gun, was unlock #2 for me.

i chose the l85 for my second unlock, i think its good. cos u can use it to snipe with the scope..or u can just spray a whole clip in confined spaces. but if u want something thats gunna own then the dao is the best imo

It would be helpful to know what you've already unlocked although I'm gonna bet the M95 is one of them.

DAO is huge for up close, as is jackhammer [engy.] Plus's and minuses for G3 but most would agree that it shines at medium + range not in 'hop fests.'

As said, take a good look at what you like to play, the Spec op upgrade is really fast too so makes a good difference up close as well.

PKM is tricky and likewise don;t see many posts here for that, good gun when you like to lay down with it.

I think the PKM, u just lie down and shoot in close quarter combat and there gone! But then its really down to personal taste......

I'll go with the Anti Tank DAO-12 - sounds fun, and yep it is mostly to play out of a bit of necessity / gung-ho action!

Should have said earlier that I unlocked the special ops and sniper rifle...

So, thanks to you there's one more bloke with a big gun out there

I have been getting down with the G3 lately. It is pretty not too bad.
