I've gotten this before. Re-install your video drivers, works for me.

BTW, this should probably be in Support.

The mouse works fine through all of the menus ingame, and stops when hit the spawn menu? and then what? Does the game freeze or is it just the mouse? Can you hit any keys? Can you escape the main menu and have the mouse working again?

        Re: Mouse Problem

If it's the same as I had mouse works fine in the menu\console and Map loads. However as soon as you get to the kit selection screen the mouse freezes. You can still see the pointer in the middle of the screen but can't move it. You can hear all the action going on behind the map but can't choose a class with mouse or keyboard.

Happens to me a lot after a re-install.

JC, if you are having a different issue let us know.

Sometime during a crash your controls.con file gets truncated to zero lenght.
Without that file nothing works ingame, not even mouse.

          Possible solutions:
          - press "restore defaults" in key config.
          - manually overwrite the contols.con file with another profile's control.con

File is located in your profile directory, maybe "c:\documents and settings\{username}\documents\battlefield 2\0001" or something like that.

          Happenned to me before.
Therefore I always backup my controls file after each change.
