well when you put in the CD a thing will come up shows "install" click on the easy info, it'll show you what you have to play the game, the reason why it shows the black screen is either a error and if you re-installed it correctly you should be fine and if you get it to start and then goes back to the desktop you prolly don't have ENOUGH display memory, my dad's has 64 mb and the required is 128 mb but everything is good and qualifies for it but the display memory. hope that helps a bit.
