BF2 - the worsest put game togetner?

My little bro get a virus into out little (8 computers) home network.
As result, my winblows need reinstalling.
Pretty normal stuff, one should say, yep? Sure are.

However after winblows reinstall, BF2 stoped working. Now what the hell is this for a game?! Let's take a look, shall we? Witch games do work after winblows reinstall and witch not:
Max Payne - works
NFS5 - works
Quake2 - works
Quake3 - works
Quake4 - works
jDoom (1+2) - works
Doom3 - works
Soldier of Fortune II - works
Half Life (1+2+CS:Source) - works
Call of Duty - works
Call of Duty 2 - works
FarCry - works (just need few DLL to copy into his dir and then all fine)
DeltaForces3 - works
F.E.A.R. - works (just need one DLL to copy into his dir and then all fine)
Medal of Hunour - works
Jedi Knight - works
Wolfenstein - works
Battlefield 2 - DON'T WORK!!!

Now what the hell is this? A sick joke?
So, I have to install 1.00 fram DVD again (grrrr!) and then put a 1.03 patch to it. All looking kinda great, untill i get kicked back to win w/o warning. So, in short, the cursed game did not even start working!!!
So, no uninstall, just deleted all the files (why the damn game need that much files anyway?!) and copy 1.03 over it and I got it working, except - hell - the stupid message "invalid CD key" ...anytime I try connect to server
Even to ***** key ones show this message...!
Now come on! This is insane, is not it?
Okay, I have a backup of 1.00 too. And quess what! I got it working! And I can even connect to a server...!
But up to just today. I installed few map-packs and the game stoped working. Even when I uninstalled them and put a backup in place, all are same - click on game, black screen, kick back to win.
Really cool

Now Im a bit affraid that I will like the BF2:Special Forces thing and it will be similary ficked up to hell...

Sounds like you need to stop using pirated software and bitching about it. There's no "coping a few (cracked) DLL files" for people with legit copies.

Just re encrypt your cd key -

Double click battlefield2_code.exe in your bf/support folder enter your CD Key then run patch 1.03 and you should be fine..

delete some of those games and maybe 50 gigs of porn and it should work fine

Run the tool in Bf2/Support folder, enter your CD key again, it will be reencrypted.

Sounds to me like to didn't format the PC. Whenever I get a virus or major PC problem I start by deleting the partition/ re-creating it then re-installing windows. Then re-install all software and there should be no problem. Sounds to me like you don't even know how to re-install windows correctly because if you followed that procedure its just like installing BF2 for the 1st time.

agreed --- did you just 'reinstall' windows overtop the previous installation?

While that may be a quick fix, it causes more problems than its worth. Backup what you want to keep, reformat the correct way (delete the partition and start over), and then reinstall windows and your games.

Oh, and worsest is not a word :)
