if there were any sort of new ranks added, it would be apply to both regular bf2 and bf2: sf

i bet in the next patch we c 5 or so more higher ranks to get

It seems like EA/Dice did everything to INSINUATE that there would be new ranks in the add-on but covered their asses when they realized they weren't going to do it. Pretty ****ty, but hey look who we're dealing with.

It did say something like " most of the bf2 players will unlock weapons instantly, but there is also a challenge for the higher ranking players " So who knows.

Well they can't just leave the rank after 2nd Lt. as 'rankname2', now can they? Once you reach the top rank it should give some sort of message saying how godlike you are or something instead of the next rank. :p

I think they should just add all of the officer ranks up to general now. It's kind of stupid to just have 2nd. Lt., but like sturmvogel said,
